Issue Position

I believe K-12 and College education is vital to develop the future workforce of Minnesotans. I advocate local school boards making the decision on what's best for their schools and districts. I oppose Common Core standards because it imposes excessive standardized testing on students and school districts while unsurping the rights of parents and teachers from deciding which education is best for their children. We should explore different options in public college education like online degree programs which would help reduce the cost of tuition on students and overall costs on the state of Minnesota.
